Todays author is Robin Watt, she wrote a pair of great books. The books are entertaining, the first book in the pair is, Fixin’ Stupid and Other Tales from a Tennessee Trauma Queen (EMS Adventures with Roxy McCoy Book 1). The second book in the pair is A is for Airway: More EMS adventures with Roxy McCoy.
The genre was not listed when I looked at the description of both books on Goodreads, from my reading the book I would say the books are realistic fiction. They are EMS tales and if you read my previous posts, you would know that I’ve been reading more medical books recently.
I really enjoyed the main character Roxy McCoy, I thought she was a very bad-ass like character in both books. I liked the romantic touch Robin Watt put into both of the books.
The first book was too short in my opinion, very fast read for me. It was very enjoyable, you get to see what Roxy’s life is like and the EMS calls she responds to are very humorous. The ending of this first book is warm, you get a peek into her future love life.
The second book is a little longer than the first. This book I think was the better of the two, it was had more humorous EMS calls. I got a very good laugh out of one of the frequent characters, Homer. Roxy’s love life gets messy in the second book. Between other characters attempting to kill her, and another woman stalking her, Roxy can’t catch a break. Until… I won’t spoil the book, I’m just doing a review.
I’m going to include amazon links to the two books:
